Market rates reflect standard agency and professional freelancer pricing for equivalent work. Your quote covers only what's in your project.

Questions I get before every project.

Why are your prices lower than agencies?

No account managers, no overhead, no 12-person team charging for internal meetings. You're paying for the work itself. I build the site — that's it. Same craft, without the agency markup.

Do I pay all at once?

Typically 50% to kick off, 50% on delivery. For larger projects we can structure a milestone-based schedule. No recurring fees after launch.

Who owns the site after it's done?

You do. The code, the domain, the hosting account — all yours. You can take it anywhere, hand it to another developer, or keep it forever. No lock-in, no ransom.

What if I only need a few of these features?

Good — I scope to what you actually need. The full feature list above shows individual feature values so there are no surprises. Full websites start at $1,500 with the Starter package, and a simple homepage + contact page costs far less than a full catalog build.

What's the difference between a landing page and a website?

A landing page is a single page with one job, like a campaign, a launch, or collecting leads. It's the lower-cost option and starts at $750. A website has several pages (services, gallery, contact, and so on) and starts at $1,500. Not sure which you need? Tell me what you're trying to do and I'll recommend the smallest option that does the job.

How long does a build take?

Landing pages: 5–7 days. Starter sites: 1–2 weeks. Full business sites: 2–4 weeks. Next.js / advanced builds: 3–6 weeks. The main variable is how quickly feedback and assets come back from your side.

Can you add a chatbot to my site? Is AI usage included?

Yes. A website chatbot without AI is $499–$599: it answers from your FAQs and pages and needs no AI service, so there is no usage bill. You can try one on a client site: Mountain Inn’s guest guide. An AI chatbot starts at $999. The AI version handles open-ended questions; it connects to an API account in your name, and the AI provider bills you directly for usage. Rates differ between providers and models (see OpenAI API pricing (opens in new tab) and Claude API pricing (opens in new tab) pricing). Those charges are separate from my build fee and hosting, and are not included in any package price. Compare the two options.

Can you fix my existing website instead of rebuilding it?

Often, yes. A detailed review is $149 (credited toward any project booked within 60 days), a speed and search tune-up starts at $499, and small fixes start at $199. On Wix, GoDaddy, or Squarespace, speed and custom features are limited by the platform, and I will tell you honestly if moving is worth it. How to tell which you need.

Do you work with businesses outside Tennessee?

Yes. I'm based in Chattanooga, and most projects run remotely: a call to scope it, a shared preview link while I build, then launch on your domain.

Can you match a competitor's quote?

Send it over. If the scope is comparable and the work is real, I'll beat it or match it — and likely deliver faster. The only thing I won't do is cut corners to hit a number.

Ready to scope your build?

Send me what you're thinking: business type, pages you need, sites you like. I'll come back with a clear number.
